The Colcom Foundation is a
foundation that supports many different ways for us to preserve
the environment and minimize the depletion of natural resources and just the
overall effects that we as Human beings create. This is even more so of an
issue with the current overpopulation that we are causing. Overpopulation in
simple terms means that there are more of us than natural resources available
long term.
In contrast, many different foundations are worried about the environment and
overpopulation. What sets The Colcom Foundation apart is that they are not just
looking and involved in one or two efforts to help with these issues. They are
involved in a plethora of different efforts to try and help combat these
issues. Some of those include “Carrying Capacity”.
Which is a group of people who support and make an effort to look at all the details
and what are all the implications of having overpopulation and not do anything
to slow down the usage of natural resources and to keep the birth rate going as
it has been.
One effort that The Colcom Foundation is a part of
that may not be something that you would think of is family planning—making
sure that there are options for those who may not want or cannot provide for
the children they could possibly be bringing in the world. In reference to
overpopulation, they are also in support of more guidelines for immigration.
This is not done with a mean spirit or to gatekeep others from enjoying the freedoms
here in America. The bottom line is that there is a limit to the number of
resources we have here and by continuing to add to the population in any form
