Tom Keane, the Vice President of Azure Global

Tom Keane is the Vice-President of Azure Global, a cloud computing corporation under Microsoft. He joined the company in 2003 and founded Microsoft’s Cloud & Enterprise division. Besides his work at Microsoft, Tom has also operated as a committee member for several non-profit organizations.

 

He joined Microsoft and has held a variety of Engineering Roles. He united with Microsoft in 2009 and has since held diverse engineering, product, and strategy roles across Microsoft’s cloud businesses. Tom Keane was the general manager of Azure platform solutions, where he led the efforts to bring Azure to market. 

 

The software developer and engineer also served as chief architect for Azure Computers, where he helped define the overall architecture for computer services. He co-founded and served as CEO of Resource Management Solutions. In 1985 Tom Keane also co-founded the company in Orlando, Florida, with a friend from graduate school at Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.

Tom led the company through its acquisition by Microsoft and became the Vice President of Azure Global Services at Microsoft. He had the role of supervising global service delivery teams supporting customers worldwide.

 

He is the Vice President of Azure Global

In this role, he is accountable for the worldwide team responsible for delivering Azure to customers globally. He converged with Microsoft in 2009 and has carried out different engineering, product, and strategy functions across Microsoft’s cloud enterprises. Before his current role, Tom Keane was general manager of the global public sector at Microsoft, general manager of Office 365 Government Solutions, and vice president of product management.
