Mark Hauser holds an undergraduate degree in Economics with a minor in Philosophy. He went on to obtain his MBA from Columbia University. Mark started his career at the investment bank Jefferies & Co., where he worked on initial public offerings, mergers, and acquisitions in domestic and international markets. He later joined Lehman Brothers, where he was a managing director in its Investment Banking Division, responsible for the firm’s mergers and acquisitions activities for over $6 billion of transactions annually.
Mark Hauser is a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts and the New Jersey Association for Financial Planning. He is also a registered financial advisor with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and has been a member of FINRA since 1998.
He has worked in both buy-side and sell-side firms, having spent nearly ten years working with clients (pension funds, endowments, foundations) and having served on the boards of trustees at significant institutions like Atlantic Philanthropies, NYC Pension Funds, and Hauser works at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC as an investment advisor representative in – the wealth management division.
Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC nominated Mark Hauser as a Financial Planning Association 2017 Five Star Wealth Manager awardee. He maintains an active advisory practice and a significant private client business.
Mark Hauser is also a member of several non-profits and has been honored to be on the board of trustees at Atlantic Philanthropies and NYC Pension Funds.
