Tom Keane is a global technology executive with over 20 years of experience building large-scale, data-driven supply chain technology systems. This fascination took him from building CRM systems for the art world to large-scale manufacturing systems for oil and gas companies to building supply chain business intelligence systems for oil companies and tech startups. In his 15 years at Microsoft, Tom Keane was responsible for tools such as Azure Global learning, a broad range of Microsoft’s enterprise tools, including:
Dynamics ERP, Dynamics CRM, and Dynamics CRM Online, and the development of Cortana. Tom Keane currently heads up the industrial and enterprise segments of Microsoft’s global cloud computing platform strategy and has been responsible for Azure’s strategic design and development globally. He also developed the Windows operation system.

Tom Keane is the Corporate Vice-President of Azure Global, a cloud computing company under the Microsoft umbrella. He runs a dedicated team of software architects, engineers, and system developers who design and implement cloud-based software solutions for various customers (Twitter).
Three years ago, the team developed Azure Global to support the Global Corporate Centre and provide a way for customers to access Microsoft technologies globally. It was then when Tom Keane had a hunch that they should create their own business based on the difference between their current business of supporting Microsoft technologies and Azure Global. They started designing their cloud computing platform and chose Azure as the platform provider.
