Alliance Defending Freedom is a unique alliance-based law firm. The group’s main focus is to protect religious freedoms and to preserve the separation of church and state in the United States. In addition to its work in the courts, ADF is also active in public policy. Its Center for Academic Freedom (CAF) protects freedom of speech and association on college campuses, including freedom from harassment based on unwelcome sexual advances.
Over the last two decades, ADF has successfully represented more than 2.5 million Americans in their conflicts with government and in the public square. And it’s no wonder. The freedoms Americans enjoy today — freedom of speech and religion, equal justice before the law, even freedom of the press — are largely due to the hard work of Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys.
Today, Alliance Defending Freedom provides legal services to thousands of clients each year in cases focused on religious liberty, testamentary freedom, sanctity of life and other core issues of importance to society. Most of the cases handled by ADF involve issues that deeply impact people’s everyday lives.
