This article concerns the thoughts Greycoat specialists share when talking about the UK´s current housing trends. Estate agents are boycotting PropertyPal.com when making their adverts following an increase in its fees.
The estate agents at Greycoat agency, who have now stopped using the website admit that they are now experiencing more traffic on their website as a result. Estate agents have agreed to stop making adverts on the website in row over the increased fees. The row started after PropertyPal communicated changes on the amount that estate agents would need to incur for their listings.
On its part, PropertyPal said the move was aimed at bettering their services. However, the prominent groups of estate agents expressed their intention to stop listings until the issue is resolved. The new system will require agents to pay between 25-45% more for every listing on the PropertyPal website, Greycoat shares.
As Greycoat informs, the significant increase in the whole new prices has compelled the estate agents to cease placing new home listings since they feel that PropertyPal is using its dominant position to coerce them to accept the new terms (London-post).
Even though PropertyPal is urging the estate agents to accept the change, it would still be hard to go by their proposed changes that will require them to register for membership. According to Greycoat Real Estate, if the estate agents embrace the changes, the cost would eventually be passed to the clients which would be unfair to the consumers.
