Meet Philanthropist Doug Haynes

DoughDouglas (Doug) Haynes is a philanthropist and the president of The Council, a private advisory firm. He has also been a prominent counselor to some of the most celebrated executives in the world.

Doug Haynes studied mechanical engineering at West Virginia University. He later worked at GE Plastics and the Central Intelligence Agency. He joined McKinsey & Company in 1992. He holds a Shermet Scholar award from the University of Virginia’s business school. During his time with McKinsey, he helped build the firm’s capabilities in various areas, such as operations, basic materials, and high tech. He was a member of the firm’s London, New York, Atlanta, and Connecticut offices.

Doug most recently served as the president of Point72 Asset Management, a leading asset management firm. During his four-year tenure, he led the company’s performance and was able to restore its founder’s license. He is also currently the managing partner of Council Advisors, a private advisory firm. He serves as the organization’s chief executive officer and is dedicated to helping the world’s enterprise leaders make informed decisions.

Doug Haynes is a founding member of The Center for Global Enterprise, a not-for-profit organization aiming to promote effective global leadership. He is also a philanthropist and has been involved in various charitable organizations. He is a member of the boards of multiple organizations, such as the Cohen Veteran’s Network and the Cohen Veteran’s Bioscience.

Doug is currently serving as a board advisor for Cohen Veteran’s Bioscience. He is also a member of the Robin Hood Foundation and Camp Southern Ground boards. He is also a member of the boards of several technology startup companies, such as ChainIQ, a Swiss logistics company, FRISQ, a Swedish healthcare information services provider, and Vega Factor, an all-in-one motivational software. Doug and his wife, who is also named Laurice, reside in Scarborough, New York. They are the owners of T2X, rehabilitation and functional mobility company, and the Fountain Inn Bed & Breakfast.
